A sprinter’s debut for a filly bred to route. Liam’s Map gets two-turn horses, her dam is by Ghostzapper, and the family runs to Grade 1 Apple Blossom winner Ermine. She was asked for six furlongs first time in a field of twelve, had no early speed from the inside, and was still eleventh at the half before improving between horses through the lane. There is nothing in her pedigree that says she wanted this trip.

Pedigree Overview

Neuromap is a chestnut filly foaled March 26, 2024, by Liam's Map out of the Ghostzapper mare Frippet. Bred in Kentucky and engaged to the Breeders' Cup, she combines the Unbridled's Song branch of the Fappiano sire line with a female family carrying Awesome Again, Exchange Rate, and a direct connection to Grade 1 winner Ermine.

The pedigree brings together two prominent North American dirt influences. Liam's Map was a multiple Grade 1 winner whose speed carried through nine furlongs, while Ghostzapper introduces the Awesome Again and Deputy Minister lines through Neuromap's dam. The second dam, White Clover, was a stakes winner and Grade 3-placed runner, giving Neuromap black-type quality close to the front of the female family.

Sire Line Analysis

Liam's Map is by Unbridled's Song out of Grade 3 winner Miss Macy Sue, by Trippi. He won six of eight starts and earned $1,358,940. His leading performances came at four, when he won the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes at nine furlongs and established a track record of 1:34.54 in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. He also finished second in the Grade 1 Whitney Stakes at nine furlongs.

Unbridled's Song was a Grade 1-winning juvenile who developed into an important source of dirt class. His leading runners included Arrogate, Will Take Charge, Forever Unbridled, Midshipman, Unrivaled Belle, Unbridled Elaine, and Graydar. The sire line traces through Kentucky Derby winner Unbridled to Fappiano and Mr. Prospector, placing Neuromap within a branch associated with speed, size, and success in major American dirt races.

Liam's Map has transmitted a broad range of racing aptitude. His leading runners include Grade 1 dirt winners Burnham Square, Basin, Wicked Whisper, Juju's Map, and Napoleon Solo, together with Grade 1 turf performers Deterministic and Colonel Liam. His runners have succeeded as juveniles, three-year-olds, and older horses, with major victories from sprint and mile races through middle-distance events. The Lane's End mating analysis also identifies his ability to produce early dirt runners and older turf performers from a range of broodmare lines.

Through November 2, 2025, Liam's Map had sired 346 winners and 30 black-type winners from 522 runners in seven Northern Hemisphere crops. His progeny had earned more than $47.7 million, with an average winning distance of 7.01 furlongs. That record centers his influence around sprint-to-mile racing while retaining the capacity to produce runners effective at longer distances and over more than one surface.

Female Family Analysis

Neuromap is the first registered foal out of Frippet, a daughter of Ghostzapper who won twice at three and earned $108,000. Ghostzapper contributes through Awesome Again, a son of Deputy Minister, while Frippet's dam is by Exchange Rate, a representative of the Danzig line. This gives the female side of the pedigree a blend of established dirt performance and speed-oriented influences.

The second dam, White Clover, won four races from two through four and earned $166,257. Her victories included the Our Mims Stakes and Wayward Lass Stakes, and she finished third in the Grade 3 Monmouth Oaks. White Clover also produced Velvet Crush, a three-time winner who earned $196,731 and placed in the Perfect Sting Stakes and Joseph E. Spanky Broussard Memorial Stakes.

White Clover is a full sister to Ermine, one of the principal runners in Neuromap's immediate family. Ermine won five races and earned $880,134, headed by the Grade 1 Apple Blossom Handicap and Grade 2 Falls City Handicap. She also finished second in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks, Grade 1 Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap, and Grade 1 Santa Maria Handicap. Her record establishes proven Grade 1 dirt quality within the direct female line.

The third dam, Red Mischief, won ten races and produced both Ermine and White Clover. The family also includes Modernistic, a champion imported two-year-old and three-year-old colt in Puerto Rico, as well as graded-stakes-placed Siding Spring and stakes-placed Fayette Warrior. Farther back, the family includes stakes winners Green Suede Shoes and Cosmo Girl. This sequence gives Neuromap a female family represented by juvenile performers, durable winners, and graded-stakes runners.

Linebreeding and Genetic Structure

Neuromap's pedigree combines the Unbridled's Song sire line with a dam by Ghostzapper. The principal genetic structure joins Fappiano and Mr. Prospector through Liam's Map with Awesome Again and Deputy Minister through Frippet. Exchange Rate adds Danzig behind the second dam, while Thirty Six Red, Wajima, and Secretariat appear farther into the female family.

The Werk report records the mating as an outcross through five generations. This structure allows the major sire-line influences to enter through separate channels, with Unbridled's Song supplying the direct male line and Awesome Again anchoring the broodmare-sire line. The pedigree therefore carries multiple established American dirt influences without close duplication in the first five generations.

Neuromap's Roman Dosage Profile is 2-7-5-0-0, with 14 dosage points, a Dosage Index of 4.60, and a Center of Distribution of 0.79. The profile is concentrated in the Intermediate and Classic categories, with additional Brilliant influence. These figures give the pedigree a speed-oriented balance consistent with Liam's Map's elite mile form, Frippet's winning record, and the sprint-to-middle-distance performance found throughout the family.

Nick Ratings / Statistical Evaluation

The Liam's Map and Frippet mating received a Werk Nick Rating of B, listed at plus 60 percent and based on the Unbridled's Song and Awesome Again cross. The report assigns a Werk Quality Rating of Q6, with 12 quality points and 26 total points.

The cross places Liam's Map over a mare from the Awesome Again line, supported by Danzig through Exchange Rate in the second generation of the dam. Liam's Map has produced stakes performers from a range of broodmare-sire lines, including Bernardini, Flatter, Scat Daddy, Indian Charlie, Hard Spun, and War Chant. This record reflects the sire's ability to work with both classic and speed-oriented female families.

Racing Profile

Neuromap's pedigree presents a clear racing profile built around speed, dirt class, and black-type depth. Liam's Map supplies Grade 1 mile and middle-distance performance, together with a sire record that includes leading runners on dirt and turf. Frippet contributes Ghostzapper and Awesome Again, while White Clover and Ermine provide stakes and Grade 1 performance within the immediate female family.

For a stable profile, Neuromap can be presented as a filly whose pedigree is centered on the American sprint-to-route spectrum. Her sire's average winning distance, the speed emphasis of her dosage profile, and the Grade 1 dirt record of the family establish a foundation suited to a range of one-turn and two-turn opportunities. Her Kentucky breeding and Breeders' Cup engagement complete a pedigree profile supported by current sire performance and established female-family quality.
