Purchased for $50,000 at the 2026 OBS Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training after breezing an eighth in 10.1 seconds, she is in training at Keeneland with Ben Colebrook. She debuted at Churchill Downs on September 17, running fourth of twelve sprinting six furlongs after a five-wide move at the top of the stretch. Stretched to seven furlongs at Keeneland on October 16, she set the pace along the inside and faded to finish seventh of ten.

Puunene is a bay filly foaled April 30, 2024, by Good Magic out of the accomplished Malibu Moon mare Kauai Katie.
